Paragliding in
Playa Quemada
A tandem flight you'll remember for the rest of your trip
About This Flying Site
A low coastal cliff on the southern shore. You skim above the sea on the way toward Papagayo's golden coves with Fuerteventura in the distance — the closest a flight here gets to the water.

The Wind Decides Where We Fly
Lanzarote's wind shifts daily — north cliffs, south slopes, or coastal sites depending on conditions. Your pilot picks the best one the morning of your flight; you're booking the experience, not the location.
Playa Quemada is one of our regular sites — if conditions line up on your date, this is where you'll fly.

More about Playa Quemada
Playa Quemada is a quiet coastal village in the south of the island, where short sea-cliffs face the Papagayo beaches. With NE to E winds it gives sea-level soaring with a backdrop of turquoise water.
Why fly here
- Right at sea level. The launch is around 45 m above the water, putting you eye-to-eye with the wave faces below.
- Toward Papagayo. On a good day the soaring extends in the direction of the Papagayo coast, one of the prettiest stretches on the island.
- Short drive from the south. If you're staying in Playa Blanca, Yaiza or the southern resorts, this is the closest launch to base.
What to expect on the day
The drive in is short. You'll be briefed at the cliff, lay out the wing, and launch into the coastal flow. Top landings are available behind the takeoff if conditions allow. Expect short, dynamic flights with the sea always close.
Best for
Visitors based in the south of the island, and anyone who wants the most direct sea-coast paragliding experience Lanzarote offers.
